Q&A

Q.What is BABY HIPHOP?

A. Rhythmic education is fundamentally a comprehensive educational approach that enriches creativity and sensitivity by incorporating music in harmony with a child's mental and physical development. It gained attention after being adopted in Princess Aiko's child-rearing. Now, we add the coolness of HIPHOP! More stylish than traditional dance and packed with GROOVE, parents and children can learn together the joy of moving their bodies. Trademark registered with the Japan Patent Office.

BABY HIPHOP is an original program of our studio.

Q: What is the lesson like?

A. Through activities like feeling the seasons, children's favorite animals, and vehicles, they develop expressive skills while moving their bodies, simultaneously learning names of various objects and numbers.

We also offer lessons like isolation exercises, which develop motor skills for specific body parts (head, shoulders, tummy, etc.), and greeting games that foster communication and social skills with friends. Through skin-to-skin contact with mom, these activities gently and effectively develop visual, auditory, and tactile senses in a way that matches each baby's growth.

Q. I wonder if the children will cry.

A. It's quite common for children to cry during lessons or cling to Mom and refuse to move until they get used to it. This is a perfectly normal reaction, so please don't rush things. Take the long view, and eventually, they'll start looking forward to this time with excitement. Even if it seems like nothing changes in each individual lesson, children often process things internally in their own way or begin to show signs of spontaneity. It's okay if they cry, fuss, or have accidents!

Q. Can I observe or take a trial lesson?

A. Yes. Both are possible.

A trial session is ¥1,900, and observation is free of charge. No reservation is required, so please feel free to come directly to the studio. For trial sessions, we recommend bringing only water for your child. Please wear comfortable clothing!

Q. Mom is a complete beginner at dancing. Is that okay?

A. Of course, it's perfectly fine.

The instructors are kind and teach carefully. Cherish the bonding time with your child and enjoy the fun of street dance to the fullest.

Q. Is it okay to take interviews and photos?

A. It's okay as long as it doesn't disrupt the lesson.

We often hear from moms who want to capture their child dancing, so please feel free to take pictures of their adorable moments. (Please note: only your own child.) When doing so, kindly ask for permission from other parents first.

The same courtesy applies if you wish to post photos online. We also welcome media coverage!! Please share away! However, if you wish to conduct an interview, you must contact us in advance. We cannot accommodate any unannounced media visits.

Q.Are there any opportunities for presentation?

A. We have many stage offers for local events such as "Okurayama Cherry Blossom Festival" in spring, "Bon Dance" and "Matsuri" in summer, and "Okurayama Halloween Parade" in fall, and most of them are free. Children can experience Yokohama's culture, history, and four seasons, and "cooperate, express, and grow" with us.
